SANDRA ELLEN LEFCOE

Location: Virginia (U.S.A.)

Age: 73

Question:  How long have you been writing?

I have been writing stories in my mind all my life.  I just never put anything on paper.

Question:  What was the name of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?

"Hello Mommy" is my first humorous book, and it was published in June of 2016.

Question:  Was this book published by a publisher; or did you self-publish?

It was self-published.

Question:  Tell our readers about this very first book.  (For example:  What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?

The birth of my two grandchildren inspired me to write these stories.  The title of my book is "Hello Mommy" and the tagline is humorous stories from the womb.  My book consists of thirteen short, cute stories written from the perspective of the child on the day he or she is born.

Question:  Can a person still buy this book?  If so, where?

Yes, a person can still buy this book.  They can buy it at:

Question:  How many total books have you published?

This is my first humorous book.

Question:  Any future writing projects in the works?  If so, tell us about it, and any pertinent dates to go with it.

Yes, I am almost finished with my second children's book.  I don't know when it will be ready as I am still interviewing artists.

Last question, if someone comes across this article and reads it, what would you like to tell them about why you think they should try reading your book or books? (Basically, what can you offer them in the way of information or entertainment)?

In this very trying world we live in, I think everyone can benefit from a little bit of laughter every day and "Hello Mommy" will make you laugh, giggle, or at least smile.  The other thing I'd like to say is that no matter what your age, it is never too late to pursue your passion.

BLOG WRITER'S NOTE TO AUTHOR: Your book sounds like a really cute and humorous read.  I notice that you only have it published on one platform such as Etsy.  You should check around on fiver.com for someone who can transfer it over to Kindle eBook template format.  This way you'd be able to sell it on Amazon. Amazon also owns a print-on-demand company called "Createspace.com" which they can make it into a paperback.  You can learn about Amazon Kindle and Createspace by going out to youtube.com, there are a lot of people talking about how to publish your book in an eBook, or in a paperback out on this site.  Good luck and thanks for the interview.

                                                        Interview

What inspired you to write "Destiny"?

I was walking past my China cabinet which was filled with Barbie dolls and paused to admire one from Mattel’s “Diva” collection (who was striking a fabulous pose!); on another shelf stood a Ken doll proudly dressed like an N.Y.P.D. officer. I thought to myself: how in the world could two people from such different worlds ever meet? And an idea began to formulate in my mind…

Can you explain what your readers can expect to read in "Destiny"?

Destiny is a love story about the two primary characters, of course, but it’s also a story about the love one man has for the God he serves and the things he values and believes in. It’s a story about the age-old challenges of darkness and light and whether or not love can truly conquer all.

Who am I:  Ramona L. Mejia?

I am an avid Barbie doll collector (I own nearly 200 of them), a lover of: 70’s light music, Italian food, Broadway theater, classical ballet and romance novels—especially the historical genre (been reading them since I was a pre-tween).

Who is your favorite character in "Destiny", and why?

Hands down, my favorite character is Chelsea Bryant, Destiny’s personal assistant. When I created her, I envisioned actress Wanda Sykes! She’s feisty and funny and not afraid to stand up to the diva she works for. Plus, she’s got a big heart. Being Destiny’s assistant is more than just a job to Chelsea, she truly cares about the welfare of the family as a whole.

What has writing "Destiny" taught you?

That some things in life truly are preordained; and a mystery, and when something is meant for you, there is a season, an appointed time and place, that the desire of your heart will be fulfilled.

What are your next projects? Where can your readers follow you?

Great question! I am considering writing a sequel to "Destiny", but in the meantime, my readers can follow me on Facebook: Ramona L. Mejia, Author.

BLOG WRITER'S NOTE TO AUTHOR: I am always fascinated with how a person comes up with the ideas for writing a story.  For me, a lot of my stories come from dreams that I have.  I thinks it's amazing that you own 200+ Barbies.  That sounds like you have an amazing collection. Your book, "Destiny" sounds like an interesting read.  I wish you the best with your writing, and thank you for the interview.

Question:  How long have you been writing?

About a year now.

Question:  What was the name of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?

"Online Business Exposure", it was published in August 2015'.

Question:  Was this book published by a publisher; or did you self-publish?

     It was self-published.

Question:  Tell our readers about this very first book.  (For example:  What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?

I used to come across a lot of people who just assumed that because they had a web presence people will automatically find them online and they would begin to convert these visitors into customers. This is a far cry from what the reality of the situation really is, so I wanted to help people – business owners in particular, by arming them with tools they can use to gain online exposure and be found on Google, so they can generate business.

Question:  Can a person still buy this book?  If so, where?

Question:  How many books have you published in total?

Question:  Any future writing projects in the works?  If so, tell us about it.

Yes I do, I am going to write a few more books in the area of reputation management. It’s such a vast subject and I am really passionate about it.

Question:  Tell us a little about your current book.

It’s about monitoring online reputation. A lot of people and organisations are focused on getting on the first page of Google. However, it is important to ensure that what shows up is positive, otherwise being on the first page will end up being detrimental to that person or organisation. The truth is, negative information can be plastered online about anyone at any time, so if a monitoring system is not in place to curtail and prevent reputation damage then something that starts up small could spiral out of control and end up being disastrous.

Last question, if someone comes across this article and reads it, what would you like to tell them about why you think they should try reading your book or books?

This book is strictly only for people that want to generate sales from their website. It doesn’t just let you in on the secrets of getting on the first page of Google but also the pitfalls to avoid so you don’t do your website more harm than good in your bid to get there. It unleashes some tips on how not to just attract traffic to your website, but also how to present your site so that visitors convert to customers. As a bonus, you also get links to 111 useful SEO Tools you can use immediately on your website!

Anything else you'd like to add that I didn't ask you, but you would like to share with our readers?

In case your readers want to find out more about the books, they can contact me on any of the links below:-

BLOG WRITER'S NOTE TO AUTHOR:  Your current book sounds like a book that everyone who is on the internet and marketing anything should check out.  You can be sure I'll definitely check it out.  Thanks for the interview and good luck with your future writing.

Virula takes place during one memorable Father’s Day in Los Angeles, when a dose of hallucinogens creates a surreal 24 hours…but Virula’s actual life is already so strange that it’s almost just another day. Realistic and enlightening, yet also surprisingly funny with a keen sense of the ridiculous, Virula is an offbeat love story, an eye-opening look at gang life, a hard-hitting examination of a young man who has taken the wrong path, and above all, an entertaining and compelling story. Troy D. Gathers

To Order:  "Take Me With You"

Location: S. Carolina / U.S.A.

Question:  How long have you been writing?

I’ve been writing since my early days in grade school. I really started taking my literary works serious in undergrad. It was there I entertained the idea of writing a book.

Question:  What was the name of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?

The title of my first book is "Take Me With You". This book was published in January of 2016. "Take Me With You" is the first installment in the "Take Me With You" series. I plan on releasing more than just books under the "Take me With You" umbrella.

Question:  Tell our readers about this very first book.  (For example:  What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?

"Take Me With You" is more than just a book. "Take Me With You" drives the reader through 365 days of real life experiences, thoughts, and decisions. Although this book is not a road map, "Take Me With You" can serve as a tour guide. People from all walks of life can relate to the messages of "Take Me With You".

Question:  Can a person still buy this book?  If so, where?

Absolutely, "Take Me With You" can be purchased on Amazon.com and Kindle.

To Order:  "Take Me With You"

Question:  Any future writing projects in the works?  If so, tell us about it, and any pertinent dates to go with it.

Yes. There will be future projects, but the focus currently is "Take Me With You". We’ll be sure to keep you posted on all upcoming projects.

Last question, if someone comes across this article and reads it, what would you like to tell them about why you think they should try reading your book or books?

Like the late great Zig Ziglar once said, “People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.” "Take Me With You" offers daily motivation that will drive you to make changes. This is not a feel good go with the flow type of book. This book will cause a catalyst whether you like it or not. I believe everyone should have daily motivation and if that’s with "Take Me With You", I did my job.

BLOG WRITER'S NOTE TO AUTHOR:     I find your book quite interesting.  Especially since you stated that it offers daily motivations.  It's not that daily motivations are unusual, but your title to this book is.  I will definitely check out this book a little more on amazon.  Good Luck with your future writing projects, and thanks for the interview.
