E. D. Wilbourn

Location:   Arizona  / USA

Question: How long have you been writing?

I’ve been writing since I was a young kid, probably around age 8 or 9. I used to write short stories and read them to my friends.

Question: What was the name of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?

"Metal Urge" which was published July 4, 2012.

Question: Was this book published by a publisher; or did you self-publish?

I self-published through Amazon.com.

Question: Tell our readers about this very first book. (For example: What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?

I’ve always loved rock music, especially heavy metal and dreamed of writing a ‘girl meets hot, bad-boy heavy metal musician and falls madly in love’ romance novel. I realized my dream with "Metal Urge"; the story of a love triangle that goes horribly wrong when two band-mates fall for the same woman. It’s an emotional roller coaster ride filled with twists and turns, and an ending the reader won’t soon forget.

Question: Can a person still buy this book? If so, where?

Yes, they can. "Metal Urge" is available as a Kindle book on Amazon.com.

Question: How many total books have you published?

Just one.

Question: List all of your titles (optional)

 "Metal Urge"

Question: Any future writing projects in the works? If so, tell us about them, and any pertinent dates to go with them.

Yes, I’m currently working on the sequel to "Metal Urge", which is entitled: "Metal Heart: Redemption". The publish date is set for September 20, 2013.

Question: What is the title of your current book, and tell us a little about it.

"Metal Heart: Redemption" continues the saga of the members of heavy metal band, Metal Urge and their budding families. It picks up the story seven years later, tying up loose ends and laying to rest the tragedy that turned so many young lives upside down. It’s a story of immeasurable remorse, crippling guilt, painful secrets, and ultimately, the healing power of unconditional love.

Last question, if someone comes across this article and reads it, what would you like to tell them about why you think they should try reading your book or books? (Basically, what can you offer them in the way of information or entertainment)?

If you’re a fan of rocker romances, or just want an emotional read that will keep you guessing until the end, give "Metal Urge" a try. You won’t be disappointed.

Anything else you'd like to add that I didn't ask you, but you would like to share with our readers? (Optional)
Please support indie authors. You never know what little gems are out there just waiting to be discovered, so buy an indie book and see what you think. If you like it, please spread the word to family and friends. Reviews are very important to each and every indie author, so take a few minutes and write a review for a book you’ve truly enjoyed. It will be most appreciated.

Blog Writer's Note to Author: I couldn't have said it any better. As a self-published author myself I would just like to add that just because a traditional publisher didn't give us a chance, it doesn't mean we didn't deserve it. I'm sure you were very deserving of it Ms. Wilbourn, and I hope that all reader's who read this, will give your books a chance. I know I'm going to be checking them out. Thanks again for the interview.
