Question:  How long have you been writing?

Since, 2013', I wrote until the manuscript of "Cultivating the DNA of Crime" was published in 2014'. So, I’ve been writing professionally as an author roughly 3 years.

Question:  What was the name of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?

"Cultivating the DNA of Crime" was the first book title, and was published on May 13, 2014.

Question:  Was this book published by a publisher; or did you self-publish?

I started K1LLER, Inc. in 2013', it’s a small publishing house, but, that’s the publisher’s name. The imprint is K1LLER.

Question:  Tell our readers about this very first book.  (For example:  What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?

Killer is a boy who lives with his parents in a two-story house in Sylmar, California. And when he's not playing video games or watching TV, this thirteen-year-old child prodigy can be found working with a high-profile criminal organization. Killer is an asset desired by criminal enterprises worldwide-he's young, intelligent, charismatic, and most importantly, he's a killer. In this humorous and contemporary novel, Killer provides the reader a first-person point of view of the environmental factors that influence criminal behavior.

Absolutely! The book is available worldwide through Ingram Content Group, and Baker and Taylor distribution. The books are also available online through www.amazon.com and www.BN.com.

   Two.

Question:  List all of your titles =

Question:  Any future writing projects in the works?  If so, tell us about it, and any pertinent dates to go with it.

I’m working on "Virula: Renaissance Outlaw" Part 2.
The book will be published and available worldwide this year.

Question:  What is the title of your current book, and tell us a little about it.

"Virula: Renaissance Outlaw": Virula knows how hard life can be—but he thinks he also knows how to make the most of it. As a high school dropout, he joins a gang who exploits his cool-headed courage, and keeps him captive by catering to his appetites for drugs and women. Virula takes place during one memorable Father’s Day in Los Angeles, when a dose of hallucinogens creates a surreal 24 hours…but Virula’s actual life is already so strange that it’s almost just another day. Realistic and enlightening, yet also surprisingly funny with a keen sense of the ridiculous, Virula is an offbeat love story, an eye-opening look at gang life, a hard-hitting examination of a young man who has taken the wrong path, and above all, an entertaining and compelling story. This first book in the Virula series will leave you looking forward to the sequel!

To Order:  "Take Me With You"

Location: S. Carolina / U.S.A.

Question:  How long have you been writing?

I’ve been writing since my early days in grade school. I really started taking my literary works serious in undergrad. It was there I entertained the idea of writing a book.

Question:  What was the name of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?

The title of my first book is "Take Me With You". This book was published in January of 2016. "Take Me With You" is the first installment in the "Take Me With You" series. I plan on releasing more than just books under the "Take me With You" umbrella.

Question:  Tell our readers about this very first book.  (For example:  What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?

"Take Me With You" is more than just a book. "Take Me With You" drives the reader through 365 days of real life experiences, thoughts, and decisions. Although this book is not a road map, "Take Me With You" can serve as a tour guide. People from all walks of life can relate to the messages of "Take Me With You".

Question:  Can a person still buy this book?  If so, where?

Absolutely, "Take Me With You" can be purchased on Amazon.com and Kindle.

To Order:  "Take Me With You"

Question:  Any future writing projects in the works?  If so, tell us about it, and any pertinent dates to go with it.

Yes. There will be future projects, but the focus currently is "Take Me With You". We’ll be sure to keep you posted on all upcoming projects.

Last question, if someone comes across this article and reads it, what would you like to tell them about why you think they should try reading your book or books?

Like the late great Zig Ziglar once said, “People often say that motivation doesn't last. Well, neither does bathing - that's why we recommend it daily.” "Take Me With You" offers daily motivation that will drive you to make changes. This is not a feel good go with the flow type of book. This book will cause a catalyst whether you like it or not. I believe everyone should have daily motivation and if that’s with "Take Me With You", I did my job.

BLOG WRITER'S NOTE TO AUTHOR:     I find your book quite interesting.  Especially since you stated that it offers daily motivations.  It's not that daily motivations are unusual, but your title to this book is.  I will definitely check out this book a little more on amazon.  Good Luck with your future writing projects, and thanks for the interview.

J. Soules

Location: Chicago, IL / U.S.A.

Question:  How long have you been writing?

I have been writing as a hobby for a long time but began seriously considering it as a career option just a couple of years ago. I’m a lawyer by training, which I hated, and left law to see if I could pursue writing.

Question:  What was the name of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?

First book (actually a short story) published is called “The Best Fucking Panna Cotta.”

Question:  Was this book published by a publisher; or did you self-publish?

     I self-published it on Kindle.

Question:  Tell our readers about this very first book.  (For example:  What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?

This story is about what happened to me when I decided to leave law and pursue writing. The judgment from those around me was astounding. This was during the recession (late 2000’s) and everyone was telling me how foolish I was to give up a new job offer at a law firm. I just didn’t want to live a life hating every moment I was at work. The most vocal of these oppositions was from my boyfriend at that time. It was very difficult and heart-breaking to write about. The title makes sense when you read the story to the end.

Question:  Can a person still buy this book?  If so, where?

It is available on Amazon Kindle store.

Question:  How many total books have you published?

I’ve self-published 3 stories so far, one more to go up very soon. Currently, I’m working on two different novels.

Question:  List all of your titles=

**First Dates in the Second City, Vol. 2 (to be up on Kindle by end of January 2016').

Question:  Any future writing projects in the works?  If so, tell us about it, and any pertinent dates to go with it.

I’m currently focusing on a semi-biography of my grandmother and my mother. Amazing story and I cannot give too much away, but they’ve been through a lot. They lived through a war, poverty, starvation, kidnapping, hand grenade attack, terrible marriage, so much more. It’s been an emotional roller coaster to write this book.

Question:  What is the title of your current book, and tell us a little about it.

The one I’m about to publish on Kindle is the Volume 2 of my First Dates in the Second City series. As a single woman in Chicago, I’ve been on many first dates that never turned into a second date for various reasons. I’ve compiled the most shocking and crazy ones and wrote about them. They’re humorous and a bit crazy. The dating life of a single woman in a big city is VERY HARD!

Last question, if someone comes across this article and reads it, what would you like to tell them about why you think they should try reading your book or books?

I write about my experiences and what I know and I think a lot of single women in their 20’s, 30’s and 40’s can relate to these stories. These stories talk about the hard choices that women make about career, life, goals, love, and just juggling life alone in a big city which sometimes can be very confusing and scary.

BLOG WRITER'S NOTE TO AUTHOR:  I have found that writing about your own personal struggles, goals, and learning experiences can usually help a lot of other people.  I also find it interesting that you chose writing over law, when I'm sure it cost you a lot to go to law school.  I hope that in the end that writing works out for you, because just like you I find that I am more myself when I am creating and writing something.  Good Luck!

Linda Govik

                  Location: Sweden (western parts…that’s important))

 Age:  37 years old

Question:  How long have you been writing?

I have to answer in the classical way here: I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember. I’m not sure where the urge came from, but I know that it’s always been there: I just love creating stories.

Question:  What was the name of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?

It’s called "Legacy", and was published in November 2015'.

Question:  Was this book published by a publisher; or did you self-publish?

I chose to self-publish. Truth of the matter is I had an agent interested in the book, but after some cooperation, she pulled out, as she’d decided historical novels weren’t going to be part of her repertoire for a while onwards. By the time this decision came, however, I’d already made up my mind to self-publish. I don’t regret this decision for one second. It’s just lovely to be indie!

Question:  Tell our readers about this very first book.  (For example:  What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?

From the book jacket: Emily Bradley, an orphan born in a brothel in London in 1784, flees after her first forced encounter with a client, Lord Charles Stanford. Five years later, he tracks her down and forces her into marriage in order to manipulate her and their son to secure his vast legacy. Emily must deny everything she is and loves, her art and her new country life, to keep the truth from his aristocratic family or face Lord Charles’ murderous temper. When she’s offered a commission to paint a portrait at the Royal French Court of Joséphine Bonaparte herself, Emily sees a chance to break free from her miserable life – but it means forming an alliance with the enemy of England, potentially exposing all her secrets, and possibly losing her son. Emily is forced into the hardest choice of her life: where her fate and her son’s future, hang in the balance.

The inspiration for this book came from all those books I’ve read in the past that has meant something to me: those that contain strong, fascinating characters and dramatic twists and turns (like Diana Gabaldon’s Outlander, for example). I wanted to write something like that too, and above all, something that I’d enjoy to read myself.

Question:  Can a person still buy this book?  If so, where?

Indeed you can. It’s available on Amazon, Barnes & Noble and Indiebound.org, and if you live in Sweden, you can buy it straight from me, or through Adlibris.se.

Question:  How many total books have you published?

   One, so far.

Question:  Any future writing projects in the works?  If so, tell us about it, and any pertinent dates to go with it.

I’ve started on the sequel to "Legacy", and my goal is to have it finished in 2017. I also have some side projects, of which one is a contemporary mystery. My feeling at the moment is that I’ll publish it next year - but that’s REALLY a side project, and more for fun, so we’ll see what happens.

Last question, if someone comes across this article and reads it, what would you like to tell them about why you think they should try reading your book or books?

Well, I recently got the best compliment ever from one of my readers: she told me that "Legacy" woke her interest in historical novels, and that she now wants to know more about the era, the clothes etc. And this from someone who up until then had only preferred contemporary fiction!
I love that – I mean, if you manage to convert a reader into trying a completely new genre, then you’ve done something right!

Anything else you'd like to add that I didn't ask you, but you would like to share with our readers?

Perhaps that I love connecting with my readers and I’m active both on Facebook and Goodreads. Befriend me, like my page or otherwise make yourself known – I’d LOVE to hear from you!
Thank you for some lovely questions!

BLOG WRITER'S NOTE TO AUTHORYour book sounds quite interesting.  I've never really been a historical reader, but your story sounds quite compelling so I'll probably check it out.  Good luck to you with your future writing projects, and thanks for the interview.
