Question: How long have you been writing?
Ages, but, for the past five years I’ve been working on it none
stop until I felt comfortable enough to share with others.
Question: What was the name
of the first book you ever published, and when was it published?
"Where Life Takes You", to be published *errr*… the last week of
July 2013', first of August 2013' (the latest). = NOW AVAILABLE!
Question: Was this book
published by a publisher; or did you self-publish?
I will be self-publishing.
Question: Tell our readers
about this very first book. (For
example: What was the inspiration for writing it, and what was it about)?
I believe not only in happy endings, but mostly in self-growth and
making your own way to pursue that dream. Part of my stories develop from
stories I hear and how I’d tweak tragedies, make them come alive and then give
them some back story to support them. In this particular book, Becca’s in her
mid-twenties. Yet every night, she’s reliving the tragedy that was her life
during her early formation and her teenage years. "Where Life Takes You" is the
place where Becca fights against the monsters under her bed to free herself and
become her own person.
Story Synopsis: Becca is caught between sanity and nightmares. Between therapy, work, and her constantly looming past she can’t seem to find room to breathe. The ghost of her late stepsister, Lisa, is her closest company. But with the help of her best friend and longtime confidant, Dan, she might just learn how to turn around a dark disposition.
Question: What kind of format will this book be presented in when a person can purchase it?
It will be available soon for Kindle eBooks.
Question: How many total
books have you actually published?
"Where Life Takes You" will be my debut novel. (Now Available)
Question: Any future
writing projects in the works? If so, tell us about it, and any pertinent
dates to go with it.
"Getting by" [A Knights tale]
I’m projecting it for mid to end of October 2013'. This will be the
beginning of a Saga, telling the story of the Knight Brothers.
Last Question:
If someone comes across this article and reads it, what would you like to tell
them about why you think they should try reading your book or books? (Basically, what can you offer them in the way of
information or entertainment)?
I like to think I’m bringing witty, neurotic, human characters
that, although they want to be perfect they live their lives with flaws like
everyone else, yet they handle it the best they can. I try to add some humor to
the mix with the promise that’s there’s always a better tomorrow –or at least
something nice on the next page.
Blog Writer's Note to Author: Good luck Claudia on your first novel. I can tell you as a self-published author of three novels myself that the first is the hardest, and most stressful to complete. Thanks for the interview. I hope all readers who read this will check out your book when it becomes available.
The best of luck with your first book, Claudia and the same goes for your series.
